Thanks to Scottish and Southern Energy Networks (SSEN)

SSEN deliver a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the people who live and work in the north of Scotland and central southern England. They are responsible for the network of cables and sub stations that bring electricity safely to your door. When you press a switch and a light comes on in your home, a business, schools and hospitals – that’s them. They make sure the energy you need gets to your meter to light and heat your home.

Connecting Kings Worthy (CKW) wishes to thank SSEN and the SAVE Project Team for all their work on the SAVE Project in Kings Worthy throughout 2017 and 2018.

The SAVE project was very successful at harnessing the support of existing groups and organisations in Kings Worthy, encouraging and enabling them to take on board the energy agenda through their own routine activities.  Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, it used to advantage the mature network that already existed to deliver its messages. This less direct win/win approach has provided the catalyst for action and has helped to increase the sense of ‘connectedness’ between local groups.
